Five for Friday!

OhMyGoodness!  The end of the school year was crazy madness, trying to get everything done.  Even though I am not yet finished packing up my room {more on that later}, I wanted to get a post out on what we have been up to the past few weeks.  So, without further adieu here's my Five for Friday linky, offered by Doodle Bugs Teaching.
My pre-k students participated in a graduation program.  Their parents and family members came to watch them sing a few songs and receive their diplomas.  We then watched a program entitled 'Our Year in Pictures'.  I use Movie Maker.  It's the easiest to work with, I have found.
They did a wonderful job.  Everyone was very proud of them.
With graduation out of the way, the little ones were treated to 'water day'.  The weather wasn't exactly the warmest, but no one seemed to mind!
When the little ones weren't actually playing in the water, they were happily playing with paint and sidewalk chalk.
It was SO much FUN!
We managed to sneak a little learning into the mix, as well, with a baseball theme.
For fine motor fun, the little loves glued scrunched up pieces of red tissue paper to make the seams of a baseball.
Then, during learning time, they used baseball counters on 10 frames and compared numbers using more than and less than terminology to get them ready for kindergarten.

The last day of school was filled with saying good-bye to our friends…..
and enjoying some much needed time outside in the sun……
I'm really gonna miss these sweetie pies…..
Now, referring back to packing up my room,,,,
our Title One program has been moved to the elementary buildings, so I will be changing schools.  It is with a heavy heart that I say good-bye to my colleagues and some of my best friends.  I was given this plague several years back and I keep it on my desk as a reminder that I will be OK no matter what...
It has taken me a few months to get used to the idea, but I accept this challenge and look forward to a year of growth, learning new things, accepting change, making new friends and staying in touch with old friends.

Thanks for reading!  Have a great day.  :)
